Claudius Amyand’s hernia: An uncommon form of appendicitis

Claudius Amyand's hernia is defined by the incarceration of vermicular appendix through hernial sac. The first appendectomy was performed in 1735. It a very rare pathology. Therefore, frequency this pathology not yet established. We report observation 54-year-old patient with an estimated BMI 25.5 kg: height2 simple inguinal that followed up and admitted to emergency room painless impulsive swelling when coughing. management consisted conditioning pre-anesthetic assessment. intraoperative exploration revealed right caecal appendicular contents viable appearance. procedure included cure using Lichtenstein technique. evolution marked resumption transit 24 hours postoperatively, Appendicitis complicating often presents atypical clinical picture painful mass without occlusive syndrome. Its preoperative radiological diagnosis, although exceptional, interest given presentation allowing elimination local pathologies sometimes do require surgery.
